From Farm to Plate
Welcome to the third module of Discover Dairy titled, From Farm to Plate. Here you will find a comprehensive unit of work that clearly demonstrates all of the stages involved in the creation of Australian dairy products - from milk production on the farm to arrival at supermarkets.
A free 'From Farm to Plate' DVD is available to accompany the curriculum material and can be ordered via the link at the bottom of the page.
Use the left menu to navigate through the From Farm to Plate topics, including the history of dairy farming in Australia, all about dairy cows, dairy farms, dairy foods and their nutritional benefits. Curriculum-linked lesson ideas and student activity sheets have been provided in PDF and printable HTML formats. You will also find directions for your students to make their own dairy foods.
